For your home

Connected Home & Smart Living

Powerful behind the scenes, simple for the homeowner. We design residential technology as progressive levels of integration—so your home feels like one system, not a pile of apps.

Integration framework

Four levels of home integration

Each level builds on the one below. Start where you need to—or engage for the full stack from the walls out.

Level 1 Infrastructure

The foundation that makes everything reliable

Structured cabling, equipment racks, PoE, Ethernet, Wi-Fi design, UPS, and equipment rooms. Without a solid base, smart devices become unreliable gadgets.

  • Structured Ethernet and behind-the-wall pathways
  • Rack and equipment-room design (power, cooling, cable management)
  • Gateway, managed switches, access points, UPS
Level 2 Connected systems

Each system done properly

Networking (UniFi), cameras and Protect, lighting and shades (Lutron / Somfy), whole-home A/V (Sonos and outdoor entertainment), sensors, locks, climate, and irrigation—installed and configured as first-class systems.

  • UniFi networking with guest and IoT isolation
  • Lighting, shades, audio/video, climate, locks, sensors
  • UniFi Protect placement, PoE, NVR/storage, remote viewing
Level 3 Unified experience

One home—not a pile of apps

Home Assistant as the integration layer: custom homeowner dashboards and scenes that cross lighting, shades, audio, security, and entertainment so the house feels like a single system.

  • Home Assistant integration and automations
  • Custom dashboards tailored to how you live
  • Cross-system scenes (occupancy, daylight, entertainment, security)
Level 4 Architecture & support

Security, documentation, and ongoing care

Network security and VLANs, engineered documentation, remote support, maintenance, and system health across boundaries—so the investment stays understandable and maintainable.

  • VLAN / firewall policies with selective cross-boundary access
  • Documentation (topology, addressing, labeling, dependencies)
  • Remote support and cross-boundary troubleshooting
Approach

Design and integration—not just gear install

UniFi is a frequent platform choice for networking and Protect, but the service is architecture and integration: reliable Wi-Fi, sensible segmentation, racks you can work in, and automations that match how the household actually lives.

Surveillance & alarm note: JackNat provides technology infrastructure, surveillance, automation, sensors, and integration. Regulated alarm installation and third-party monitoring must follow applicable licensing. We do not claim licensed alarm monitoring unless separately stated for a specific engagement.
